Now that we removed support for our older mute buttons we have enhanced our connection logic to better connect only with our new mute buttons. If we haven’t already connected, please message me to make things right.īug Fix: Only Connect With the Mute Button Apologies to the handful of Discord users who stuck around as we tried to get things working smoothly. We will continue to support Discord via the Chrome browser but will be removing all references to Discord on our website and app. As of this upcoming version we will no longer support the Discord app. We sunk weeks of work trying to get the Discord app working reliably but we’re waving the white flag. At the very least it’s one less red flag the IT team will yell at you about! If your IT team still blocks our mute button (the button itself, not the application) you may be able to have them whitelist your mute button. This should make it easier to install mütesync on your Windows computer without having to get your IT team involved. We finally made it through advanced Windows security certification so that Windows users won’t see the Windows Defender warning when installing the mütesync app. If you didn’t hear from us for some reason, message us for a new replacement button. We have contacted all users of the old buttons to ensure they have a newer version. This includes removing support for our old V1 and V2 buttons, affectionately known as Big Red. Now that the new SyncEngine has been stable (and awesome) for a few months we’re removing more parts of the old codebase to further improve the efficiency of the app. Retire the Old Code and “Big Red” Button Support We have fixed the issue and added regular HomeAssistant users to our Beta group for better test coverage of future updates. Our prior release broke our HomeAssistant integration. This information was no longer accurate once we finished moving our meeting integrations with Zoom, Meet, and Teams over to our new, more stable, SyncEngine and removed Discord support. Removed the “Currently Monitored” Info on the Advanced Tab Now you can opt out of the automatic updates on the Settings tab. However, some users had to move mountains to get IT to install the mütesync app and each update requires another round of IT approvals. We’re always improving and updating the mütesync application. Opt Out of Auto-updates (Not Recommended) Now you can set your mute button to white.Īnother month, another set of improvements to make the mütesync app run more reliably and with less CPU resource. We had teal, purple, and pink but forgot the simple, white option. After many attempts, we finally found and released a fix. This turned your mute button into an unintended night light. Our mute button got confused by this message and one of the LEDs would randomly turn on. When your computer goes to sleep it sometimes sends a message to the mute button. The mütesync app now supports the following languages. Windows Users: On the Preferences > Devices Tab, Windows users can now enable Multi-button support by checking the box. This worked for Mac, but we needed to make some changes to support multi-button support for Windows. With the partial return to physical offices, we are seeing an increase in the number of customers connecting multiple mute buttons to a single computer in a conference room.
